Committee for Green Foothills helps prevent damming of Pescadero Creek
Proposed by the Army Corps of Engineers to provide water to a future large population in Pescadero, this dam would drown redwood forests in Pescadero Creek County Park and Portola State Park. The Committee joins with the Sierra Club and Save the Redwoods League to raise a major public outcry, and kills both the dam and the proposed four-lane realignment of Alpine Road from Skyline.
