Wine Tasting and Tour for 12  at Chaine d'Or Vineyards. Guests are escorted through the main house and into the garden at the head of the vineyard with breathtaking views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Depending upon the time of year they may walk down a few rows and taste the grapes. Next they walk past the wine press and main tank and into the cellar where they taste at least one wine from the barrel and talk about the style of winemaking. They will spend as long in the cellar as the group continues to be interested. Following this they ascend the stairs into the kitchen and great room of the main house where they taste the bottled wines. This tasting is accompanied by fresh bread, Gruyere cheese, maybe some olives or garden grown tomatoes—whatever is fresh at the market.
