Community Forum: Conservation Easements

Please join us for a public forum on two important tools communities can use to protect open space.

Special presentation
The League will make a special presentation awarding the Mary and Wallace Stegner Award for Environmental Stewardship to CGF co-founder Lois Crozier-Hogle, who recently announced the donation of an 11-acre conservation easement to the town.

A panel discussion on open space easements will include:
  • Carl Cahill, Planning Director for Los Altos Hills
  • Tom Vlasci, Deputy Town Planner, Portola Valley and VP of Spangle Associates
  • Dr. Rick Hopkins, Wildlife ecologist and co-opwner of Live Oak Associates
A panel discussion on conservation easements will include:
  • David Mitchell, Board Member of Peninsula Open Space Trust
  • Mary Davey, President of Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District and member of the LAH Open Space Committee
  • Geoff Etnire, Chair of the real estate practice at Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel
  • Jason Kibbey, Director of Defense of Place (a project of the Resource Renewal Institute)
