Please join us for our annual hike and picnic at Stevens Creek County Park, in the foothills between Cupertino & Saratoga. Sidled up to the Santa Cruz Mountains, this beautiful 1,077-acre park is the County’s oldest, and offers a diversity of habitats including meadows, shady creeks, oak woodlands & a 92-acre reservoir.

Join Jean Rusmore (author of Peninsula Trails and South Bay Trails) & Committee for Green Foothills Board Member Sue LaTourrette for a moderate 5.5-mile hike through the woodlands & the adjacent Fremont Older Open Space Preserve.

Leisurely hike 10:30
Join CGF Executive Director Tom Cronin for a leisurely 2-mile hike past Stevens Creek Reservoir to a beautiful oak woodland.

Picnic! Noon
We’ll gather in the Villa Maria Picnic Area for a potluck picnic lunch. Eat & meet with CGF members, our board of directors & staff. Bring a dish of your choice to share. We’ll provide plates, utensils & drinks.

Directions: Take Highway 280 to Foothill Expressway. Follow Foothill west for three miles (Foothill turns into Stevens Canyon Road when it crosses McClellan Road).

Turn left into the first park entrance. Follow the road past the first parking lot & up the hill to the Villa Maria Picnic Area.

Parking is $5/ car.
