A note from Judith Steiner

A year of retirement after ten years as the Executive Director at Hidden Villa allowed me to attend to unfinished personal business and to branch out into more nonprofit board work. But the opportunity to join CGF as its Interim Executive Director was so compelling that I happily went back to work. What an inspiring organization! After years of respecting CGF's advocacy and appreciating how my community and my own life has been enriched by its successes, I am honored to be part of this outstanding organization and look forward to collaborating in developing its strategic vision for an even more dynamic future.

I have been delighted to find one of the most engaged and active boards I have ever run into and a highly competent and committed staff. My first task as an Executive Director is always risk assessment. Reviewing CGF, I find a well-run office, with highly developed operational systems in place, excellent financial management, and a competitive salary structure (so important for a nonprofit where salaries are often lower than in government or industry). This is especially impressive because CGF is a small nonprofit, very recently staffed mostly by volunteers. Most importantly, the Green Feet are passionate about CGF's mission.

What a great job I have again!
