Explore the Coyote Valley region by bicycle on a flat 21-mile loop.
Together we’ll learn more about the wildlife movement, creeks, and campaign to protect the Coyote Valley. This is an easy ride but it is also long! We will break out into a faster group and a slower group with leads and sweeps for both so no one gets left behind!
Speakers will include Committee for Green Foothills Executive Director Megan Fluke, Deb Kramer Executive Director of Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful, Richard Tejada Founder of Saved By Nature, and Former County Supervisor Ken Yeager.
What to bring: Check that your tires are fully pumped and go for a test ride before the day. Bring a helmet, sun protection, 1-2 liters of water, tire repair kit, and a bag lunch. Mountain bikes and road bikes work for this ride, cruisers do not.
The Route: Check out a map of our route. We’ll start at the Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve and have a brief talk before our ride, then bike south on and then back north across the valley floor, hop on the Coyote Creek Trail at Coyote Creek Golf Drive to the Anderson Lake Visitor Center, bike up to northern Coyote Valley along the Coyote Creek Trail, hop on Bailey, and pass by Spina Farm Stand on our way back to the preserve.
Faster Group Lead: Megan Fluke and Ken Yeager
Faster Group Sweep: Jeff Segall, Larry Ames
Slower Group Lead: Deb Kramer, Richard Tejeda
Slower Group Sweep: Bryan Beck, Monica Nanez
