Leadership Academy: Cultural Humility in Advocacy

What makes the Green Foothills’ Leadership Academy so unique? Cultural Humility in Advocacy. Join Green Foothills’ Associate Advocate and Community Organizer Juan Estrada, Leadership Academy Alumni Alexii Sigona of the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, Mel Sarmento of  the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, and Radhika Thekkath Board member of the California Native Plant Society Santa Clara Valley Chapter in a discussion about how they use it in their environmental advocacy. Learn how race and equity play a part in our local conservation movements and what can we do to uplift often ignored voices in the campaigns we are a part of. Optional networking and an activity with a culturally humble perspective rounds out the evening’s program.
