Monica Nanez and Kris Lanning Liang, our newest board members, each bring a unique perspective and passion for the environment to our organization. Monica, now a San Jose resident, lived in Coyote Valley for 15 years, getting a firsthand look at developments there. Currently she manages community and sustainability initiatives for First Community Housing, overseeing bicycle programs, community gardens, and solar installation among others. Kris worked as the public relations manager for California State Parks, managing special projects and educating the public. She currently volunteers with the Marine Mammal Center, rescuing and rehabilitating seals, sea lions, and otters. We are so glad to welcome these exceptional women to our board.
