Juristac Comment-Writing Workshop: Help Protect Indigenous Lands

The County of Santa Clara has just released the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the proposed Sargent Ranch Quarry, an open-pit sand and gravel mine that would destroy the landscape of Juristac – a critical wildlife linkage and the most sacred site of the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band.

Attend this workshop on writing effective comment letters to challenge the Sargent Quarry project and the adequacy of DEIR. The workshop is hosted by the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band.

You can register for the workshop at this link.

The event will feature one hour of presentations followed by 30 minutes of Q&A. After the presentations and Q&A, there will be optional workshop time with topic-based breakout groups in which individuals can share ideas, ask more detailed questions, and work on their personal comment letter drafts.

Your voice does make a difference! Please join the thousands of others who are taking action to oppose this open-pit mine on a critical wildlife corridor and sacred Indigenous landscape.
