Cancelled – Wildflower Wander: Máyyan ‘Ooyákma – Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve
Celebrate spring on this guided hike with Green Foothills at Máyyan ‘Ooyákma – Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve. Enjoy seasonal blooms, sweeping views, and the beauty of this special landscape. In addition to spring wildflowers, Coyote Ridge is home to rare and endangered plants and wildlife, including the Bay checkerspot butterfly, Metcalf Canyon jewelflower, California red-legged frog, California tiger salamander, tule elk, Western Burrowing Owls, and Golden Eagles. With a little luck, we may encounter some of these on our walk. The hike is roughly 2.5 miles on a moderate out-and-back terrain trail with two relatively steep uphill portions.
Free, but must RSVP because space is limited. Use the registration form on this page. Questions? Contact Jocelyn Rodriguez, [email protected].
