Last November, I asked you to speak up for protection of old-growth redwoods and wildlife trees on the 40-acre Stoddard Trust property. 572 people emailed CALFIRE and asked that these venerable trees be protected.
CALFIRE has now approved the Timber Harvest Permit and we are pleased that no old-growth or wildlife trees are proposed for harvesting. We remain hopeful that the owners of the property will decide to permanently protect these important trees through a Conservation Easement with Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District or POST.
Thanks for speaking up to protect these irreplaceable redwoods! Your voice does make a difference.
Sincerely,
Lennie Roberts
