Become a Community Ambassador: Be a Voice for Nature
Represent Green Foothills at our information tables at local community events! If you’re passionate about local nature and enjoy talking to others, this volunteer opportunity is for you. Community Ambassadors raise awareness about Green Foothills’ work on pressing environmental issues that impact San Mateo, Santa Clara, and San Benito Counties.
What You’ll Do
As a Community Ambassador, you’ll attend in-person local community events to represent Green Foothills and inspire others to join the movement in protecting local nature and wildlife. At these events, you’ll
- Set up information tables
- Spark conversations with attendees
- Distribute educational materials to inform and empower and
- Provide information about upcoming events and opportunities to get involved.
What We Provide
You bring the enthusiasm—we’ll equip you with everything else. We provide you with:
- Training on local environmental issues, Green Foothills’ mission, advocacy and
- Effective community engagement techniques.
It’s fun and a great way to make a difference for our local environment.
No experience necessary—just genuine care for our environment and a willingness to connect. If you’re 18 years or older, have good communication skills, are passionate about the environment, and live in San Mateo, Santa Clara, or San Benito Counties, the Community Ambassadors Program might be for you.
