Alexandra (Lexi) joined Green Foothills in January 2025. Her work largely focuses on advocacy issues within San Mateo County’s coast and bayside communities. She collaborates with other local organizations to try and influence decisions on key environmental issues in an effort to further Green Foothills’ mission of protecting local nature and farmland.
Before joining Green Foothills, Lexi worked at several other nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. She worked as the Conservation Planning Fellow at the Peninsula Open Space Trust, where she contributed to ongoing efforts to conserve open space and create resilient landscapes. Prior to that, she worked at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA as an animal control officer dealing with both wildlife and domestic animals in San Mateo County.
Born and raised in Redwood City, Lexi grew up visiting the very places she now works to protect. She holds a B.S in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis and an M.A in Biology from Miami University in Ohio. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, walking her dog Canela, and reading for her book club.
