As we ring in 2-0-1-8,
I’m looking forward to the year ahead; I can’t wait.
If you haven’t made your year-end gift yet,
There’s no need to worry, so please don’t you fret.
This is just a reminder, there’s still time today.
But 12 hours goes fast, so best not delay.
Here’s to you, my like-minded kin.
I’m so grateful for the company I’m in.
Now please raise a glass with me, old friends and new.
And don’t forget, local nature thanks you too!
