Welcome Alexandra (Lexi) Mendoza

Lexi Mendoza

Green Foothills is delighted to introduce our new Environmental Associate, Alexandra (Lexi) Mendoza, whose work will focus on the San Mateo County coast. She will take part in advocacy efforts to maintain the rich biodiversity and robust ecosystems of that region, as part of our Coastal Resilience Program.

Before joining Green Foothills, Lexi worked as a Conservation Planning Fellow at Peninsula Open Space Trust, where she contributed to ongoing efforts to conserve open space and create resilient landscapes. Prior to that, she worked at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA as an animal control officer dealing with both wildlife and domestic animals in San Mateo County.

Born and raised in Redwood City, Lexi grew up visiting the very places she now works to protect. She holds a B.S in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis and an M.A in Biology from Miami University in Ohio. In her free time she enjoys walking with her dog Canela, playing tennis, and reading for her book club.

Welcome Lexi! We are so happy to have you as part of the team.
