Community Engagement Program Manager

Biography

Jocelyn joined Green Foothills in March 2022 and works to deepen Green Foothills’ connection with donors, volunteers, and residents of the region. She leads inclusive, mission-driven events, including our signature annual fundraiser, Nature’s Inspiration. She also oversees the Community Ambassador Program, empowering volunteers to amplify Green Foothills’ advocacy.

Prior to working in sustainability, Jocelyn served as Director of Legal Affairs for a law firm in Los Angeles. She holds a B.A. in English Education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Cal Poly Pomona and studied Urban and Regional Planning in Dubai and Hong Kong. She specialized in the education of students with cognitive disabilities, those who experienced homelessness, and multilingual learners. She also taught at Jinhua Foreign Language School in China.

Recognizing the critical role sustainability and climate action play in shaping equitable communities, Jocelyn transitioned her career through two fellowships with the City of Long Beach and Alameda County. Through this work, she supported climate adaptation and mitigation efforts and advanced community-centered initiatives. These experiences continue to inform and strengthen her work at Green Foothills.
